Drake sat down with Vevo to talk about the release of his sophomore album Take Care which drops next week. Vevo have dropped a series of short interview clips, where he discusses how lyricism has changed in Hip-Hop, working with Stevie Wonder on one of the album’s (many) standouts “Doing It Wrong”, and the Lil’ Wayne verse that made him re-evaluate himself as a rapper. Say what you like about Drizzy, he’s always good value in interviews.

Here he is talking about how just being able to rap well is no longer enough.

Here he talks about Stevie Wonder’s involvement on the album, and how he ended up on the track “Doing It Wrong”.

Finally he discusses his favourite Lil’ Wayne verse ever, Weezy’s contribution to Mario’s “Crying Out For Me” remix.

For those of you who don’t remember the Mario joint in question, it dropped back in 2007 and did indeed feature a pretty memorable verse from Weezy. Wayne definitely channeled Andre 3000 on that one. Hear it for yourself.

“She say ‘f*ck’, I say ‘who?’, she say ‘not you’…” etc.
