Drake set to feature on Mary J. Blige’s next single off My Life II album | Music News

Earlier this month, details regarding the guest appearances, co-writers and producers that are set to feature on Hip Hop Soul Queen Mary J. Blige‘s tenth LP, My Life II…The Journey Continues (Act 1) hit the Interwebs. However a few days ago, Mary J. held an exclusive listening session for the album where songs featuring Beyoncé, Nas, Rick Ross and Busta Rhymes were played to those in attendance. According to reports, one of the many songs that stood out was a mid-tempo track entitled “Mr. Wrong” featuring a recently added guest verse from Young Money emcee Drake, which is now scheduled to be the album’s second official single.

Explaining the meaning behind the song’s concept, Rico Love, who co-produced the track, stated “It’s an extremely soulful song that expresses the true level of love that a woman can have for a man who simply is no good for her,” he said. “I wrote it because in many ways I am Mr. Wrong”. Miss Blige and Drake have already shot a video for the song that will no doubt be a smash hit single.

My Life II…The Journey Continues (Act 1) which will also feature a Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins produced cover of Chaka Khan’s classic “Ain’t Nobody”, is set for release on November 21st 2011.
