Over the weekend we saw Drake perform the previously unheard track “Too Much” alongside Sampha on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, as well as his Wu-Tang Clan tribute, “Wu-Tang Forever” surfacing online.

With the release of YMCMB/OVO rapper’s third studio LP Nothing Was The Same imminent we can now take a listen to two more tracks taken straight from the album, with a highly-anticipated collaboration with the self-proclaimed ‘God of Rap’ Jay Z among them.

“Overly focused, it’s far from the time to rest now / Debates growin’ ’bout who they think is the best now / Took a while, got the jokers out of the deck now / Holdin’ all the cards and niggas wanna play chess now”

Drizzy takes it back to real Hip-hop roots on “Pound Cake” with some slick rhyming as the classic line from Wu-Tang‘s “C.R.E.A.M.” plays over the hook.

Jay Z steps up to the plate with his usual boastful supremacy:

“I had Benz’s before you had braces / The all black Maybach but I’m not a racist / Inside’s whiter than Katy Perry’s face is / Yellow diamonds in my Jesus”

The Canadian star gets honest on the “Paris Morton Music 2” segment of the track, a follow up to a track released back in 2010 which was later used as a Rick Ross single. The second track to surface today is a smooth cut titled “Connect” where Drizzy croons soulfully and in typical fashion, speaking of the power of “the box”.

Take a listen to both tracks below, and let us know what you think.
