Dr. Dre to make debut Grammy Awards performance on Sunday

It has now been confirmed that legendary Hip Hop producer Dr. Dre will be performing live this Sunday (CBS, 8pm EST) at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards alongside his protege turned superstar Eminem, in what will reportedly be Dre’s first live TV performance in over 10 years – and his first at the prestigious ceremony.

With his latest single, ‘I Need A Doctor’ featuring Eminem and rising star Skylar Grey , doing amazingly well on the US billboard charts, Dre will be joining an array of A-list performers such as Arcade Fire, Lady Gaga, Cee Lo Green and Barbra Streisand, who have already been confirmed to be performing at the Award ceremonies this year.

Eminem, on the other hand, is nominated for 10 awards at this year’s ceremonies and is almost certainly going to add to his existing tally of 11 Grammy Awards at the end of Sunday’s show.

Dr. Dre’s hugely anticipated third and final album Detox is scheduled for release in 2011.

The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 13th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on CBS at 8PM EST.
