‘Blackberry Molasses’ is the first leak off of emerging Atlanta-based Hip Hop artist Donnis‘ forthcoming project, Southern Lights. The song which samples former Atlanta R&B group Mista‘s classic soul anthem of the same name is said to have been reworked by Crada and the producers of the original classic, Organized Noize.
It’s a very enjoyable and almost medieval feeling heavy drum-tinged song that remains true to the soulfulness and life-affirmation of the original 1996 record. Listen to it below.
