DJ Drama: “Dream Chasin'” with Al Lindstrom (Part 1) [Video]

Back then people would tell me it would never work… everything Gangsta Grillz has become is what they said people don’t wanna hear…

ATL resident DJ Drama spent the last 20 years applying his trade in a game which eventually resulted in him becoming the go-to-guy in Hip-Hop’s highly competitive and arguably over-saturated mixtape scene. After a slight [Writer’s Note: By slight I mean very small] dip over the last few years, the University graduate returned to form through recently-released mixtape projects with 50 Cent, Curren$y, Jadakiss, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz and Fabolous.

Recently, the Philly native sat down with the good folks over at and discussed a wide variety of topics pertaining to his career and the time he has spent in Hip-Hop’s Southern hotbed, Atlanta. In the first of Al Lindstrom’s two-part interview, Barak O’Drama opened up about how he got into DJing, attending University in ATL, how he built his name in ATL’s Hip-Hop scene and more.

Check out the visuals of the first part of the sit down below and stay locked to SC for part two.
