Daughter release ‘Smother’, announce U.S. tourdates | Music News

It’s always a pleasure to hear new music from Daughter. Following up on their two sublime EPs and two strong personal recommendations, The Wild Youth and His Young Heart, the North London outfit, fronted by Elena Tonra, debut a brand new song entitled “Smother”. Those familiar with Ms. Tonra’s sound should already know what to expect: moving vocals, sincere songwriting and a depressing, yet inspiring, mood. In short, this is another showcase of Daughter’s shimmering beauty.

The premiere of “Smother”, which will be released on 7″ vinyl on October 1st via 4AD, coincides with the announcement of Daughter’s debut North American headline tour this October. View the full schedule after the song.
