Da Brat Is released from jail and speaks to XXL in first post-jail interview

After it was recently announced by Jermaine Dupri that veteran female Hip-Hop artist Da Brat had been released from prison after spending a three year sentence for aggravated assault stemming from an incident that occurred in 2007, XXL Magazine got the opportunity to speak with her for her first post-jail interview and she opens up about the time she served in jail, how it feels to be back “home” and focusing on working on some new music. The So So Def rapper who is currently under house arrest in Atlanta revealed that she might be out of house arrest in three to six months according to XXL and also had this to say about making new music:

“I’m getting some beats sent to me right now from JD. I wasn’t really motivated in there to write. I need to be able to hear some fire beats and I need to hear it loud. I got two and a half years of shit built up that I need to talk about. I’m ready to get it in. I can’t wait.”
