Cults outdo themselves with “You Know What I Mean” | New Music

Recently debuted in Austin, Texas at the SXSW festival, here’s the brand new single from alternative NY-based Pop band Cults titled “You Know What I Mean,” from their forthcoming debut album of the same name to be released in May, 2011 via Lily Allen‘s label, In The Name Of, and Sony/Columbia Records.

This is an amazing ’50s inspired song laced with dreamy vocals, lush (and bold) drum patterns and a gorgeously understated bass line. Listen below and tell me if this isn’t the best you’ve heard Cults sound since “Go Outside”.

Actually scratch that; this is the best I’ve heard Cults period and long may this continue.
