Christina Milian talks Young Money debut; expect “everywhere from dance music to great R&B/pop” [Video]

Christina Milian‘s serially delayed fourth studio album has received more false starts than you’ll see at the London Olympics this year, however things finally seem to be taking shape. For after recently inking a deal with Hip-Hop label of the moment Young Money [home to Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj], and appearing on hit TV show The Voice US as its social media correspondent, Milian is in the strongest position she’s been in for years.

The “Dip It Low” singer recently caught up with Hollywood Reporter to discuss the direction of her new LP, as well as sharing why she thinks The Voice is such a great opportunity for emerging talent.

Interesting to note that the previous material, much of which was crafted by her ex-husband, The-Dream, seems to have been scrapped, thus meaning Milian will re-record the LP from scratch. We can’t say we blame her – a new label, new music and a fresh start, let’s just hope the album, whoever involved, finally sees the light of day.

Take a trip down memory lane below, with the singer’s debut single “AM to PM“, released in 2001.
