Cee Lo Green gives update on new Goodie Mob album, says audience will be ‘very pleased’ [Video]

During a recent sitdown with MTV, Cee Lo Green opened up about the upcoming Goodie Mob album Age Against the Machine, the crew’s first project as a complete unit since 1999’s World Party.

Green says that, despite the differences they’ve had in the past, the Atlanta-based quartet consisting of himself, Khujo, T-Mo and Big Gipp are “family” and they’ve been hard at work constructing the new album. The crew’s latest single “Fight To Win” caught many Goodie Mob purists off guard with its very poppy feel, but the song is apparently part of their attempt to broaden their fan base.

“We’ve been working on the album really vigorously and it’s coming out very well and I think people are gonna be very pleased — our core audience and also this new audience that we are aspiring to acquire,” Green says. “It’s a very broad album, very well done. I can’t wait for people to hear it.”
