Black Einstein feat. Baby Sol – “Common Ground” | Free DL

Following on from “Arabia” [featuring Mystro and De La Soul‘s Maseo], comes the next free download – and my personal highlight of the project – from Black Einstein‘s forthcoming Davie Bowie inspired EP, Whatever Happened To Major Tom.

Standing out for her work with the likes of Paloma Faith, ROX, Tinchy Stryder, Lazy Habits, Nutty P and Ty to name a few, London-based singer/songwriter Baby Sol takes the lead on new track “Common Ground”, oozing her soul-drenched vocals over Colin Emmanuel‘s production, which samples “Space Oddity” from Bowie’s 1969 album of the same name, lacing it with rousing hints of drum’n’bass.

Pretty sublime – and not for laptop speakers if you want to fully appreciate… Download and dig in:

Even bassier “Common Ground” remixes by Cheeky Physics and Stinkahbell also available at

Look out for Black Einstein’s forthcoming 5-track EP inspired by David Bowie, titled Whatever Happened To Major Tom, coming soon for free download – produced entirely by Colin Emmanuel with guest vocalists Xavier Barnett, Mystro, Baby Sol and Maseo from De La Soul.
