Beyonce covers Michael Jackson’s “I Wanna Be Where You Are” at tribute concert [Video]

On Saturday night (Oct 8), Cardiff in Wales saw some of Michael Jackson‘s most famous fans and family members gathered to celebrate his life and his career. The tribute concert, which was sanctioned by his mother Katherine Jackson, saw the likes of Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Ne-Yo. The guests paid tribute in all the right ways; Ne-Yo channeling MJ’s signature moves, glittery jacket and glove, and a host of others performing his favourite tracks.

Beyonce was also present, via satellite, where she appeared in a pre-taped piece to deliver one of MJ’s Motown classics. “I remember seeing Michael for the first time. Lord knows I fell in love,” she said before belting out a funky cover of ‘I Wanna Be Where You Are.’ “Watching him I realised exactly what I wanted to be. He inspired me so much.”
