Bel Biv DeVoe to release new material this summer | Music News

It looks like Bel Biv DeVoe are planning a comeback with some new material even though we cannot really call it a comeback because they (BBD) have been on the road for the last three years. The legendary R&B trio of Ricky Bell, Ron DeVoe and Michael Bivins recently spoke with Billboard about plans to release some new material before the Summer draws to it’s close.

The veterans of over twenty years, who burst on to the scene with their 1990 smash hit ‘Poison’ also confirmed that they are contributing to separate solo releases from former New Edition members Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant, which will come before the group’s full length release.

Slated to perform on NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon backed by the legendary Roots crew next Wednesday (Feb. 23), DeVoe comments, “They thought it’d be a good idea to bring a classic like ‘Poison’ to the TV screen with the Roots, and we couldn’t hold back on our excitement to play with them.”
