He may have just been sentenced to two years in federal prison, but Beanie Sigel has announced a new album on the horizon. According to Ruffhouse Records’ CEO, Chris Schwartz, Beans will release This Time on August 28th through a distribution deal with EMI. The LP’s first single, “The Reunion”, is expected to drop next week.

The album will serve as the former Roc-A-Fella man’s fifth solo release – the first in five years, following 2007’s The Solution – and looks to replace the previously-rumoured effort, The Classic. Having been ordered to jail on tax evasion charges, it’s no wonder Beans is looking to shift this new LP pretty quick.

The rapper also has a collaborative album with Texas vet Scarface, entitled The First 48, in the plans, but it’s unclear when this record will be released.
