Azealia Banks announces Polydor debut EP and UK tour dates | Music News

Sound of 2012 shortlisted Azealia Banks will kick off what’s expected to be her breakthrough year by releasing an EP, 212, on Polydor in March. The Harlem rapper, who took third place in the prestigious BBC poll, has been widely touted as the next female MC to impact the mainstream. She gained much of her buzz with the release of the EP’s expletive-laden title track last year – as well as that track, 212 will also feature Banks’ vocal of Nottingham producer Lone’s “Pinapple Crush” and a number of as-yet-unannounced remixes.

She’s also announced a fairly substantial tour of the UK in the Autumn, which culminates with a show at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Catch the tour dates after the jump.
