After creating a buzz with her first self-titled album, Roc Nation signee Alexis Jordan is back after a year in the studio, showing off the product of her work with an energetic cut taken from her forthcoming sophomore album. The young singer enlists fellow label mate J. Cole for a couple of verses on the new song “Acid Rain,” written by Sia.

For the first taste of what’s to come from her new LP, Jordan lends great vocals over a fist-pumping beat produced by Stargate, using a sample from Bingo Players’ 2011 song, “Rattle.” Drafting in J. Cole for two verses on the dance-heavy track, it gives the rapper a chance to break free from his normal sound and have a little more fun as a guest artist with some quick rhymes.
