Adele leads TIME and Rolling Stone’s 2011 best album lists | Music News


As the end of the year approaches, the best of 2011 lists have started rolling out and the editors at TIME and Rolling Stone magazines have released their selections for the best albums of the year, with Adele‘s 21 hitting the top spot on both lists – no surprise there after 21 being named the UK’s best selling album of the 21st century.

The only other album to feature on both lists is Kanye West and Jay-Z‘s Watch the Throne, whilst well deserved spot number five on TIME’s list goes to Frank Ocean for Nostalgia, Ultra, with The Beastie BoysHot Sauce Committee Part II coming in at eight and The Black Keys scooping the 10th spot for El Camino.
