Action Bronson signs to Warner Bros./Vice Records | New Music

Having rose to modest fame through projects like Dr. Lecter, Well Done with Statik Selektah and the collaborative effort with Party Supplies, Blue Chips, as well as forming the M.A.R.S. supergroup alongside Cormega, Roc Marciano and Saigon, Action Bronson has been destined for bigger things in this rap game for a while now. And yesterday (August 12th), that hard work finally paid off for Bam Bam, who announced a record deal with Warner Bros./Vice Records.

The butterball Queens emcee is known for his sense of humour (seriously, just scroll down his Twitter page and you’ll be in tears), so you couldn’t expect him to keep it formal when breaking the news, could you? Before making the proper announcement, he joked that he had signed to Odd Future‘s Left Brain… for $1.5 million.

On a serious note, however, Bronson was quick to shoot down any preconceptions of him “selling out” with this new major label deal. “I promise to never make candy cane bullshit music as long as I live!!!!!!!” he tweeted, much to the delight of his fans, it seems, as over 200 people have since retweeted the post.

There looks to be plenty in the pot right now for Action Bronson. In addition to the follow up to the aforementioned Blue Chips mixtape, the rapper is also said to be putting together a Rare Chandeliers project with The Alchemist, Mr. Wonderful with Tommy Mas, and Saab Stories with Harry Fraud.
