A$AP Rocky performs ‘Bass’ live at Pitchfork Music Festival 2012 [Video]

The annual Pitchfork Music Festival returned to Chicago’s Union Park this weekend. In case you missed out on the full five-plus-hour live stream that was made available, here you catch up on a portion of the performance of one of Friday’s flagship hip-hop acts, A$AP Rocky.

Gracing the stage on the drizzly afternoon, Dat Pretty Muthaf*cka helped the crowd forget about the poor conditions by delivering a wild set, as FakeShoreDrive‘s Andrew Barber tells us. Rocky apparently welcomed hometown heroes L.E.P. Bogus Boys and Spenzo to his set, stage dived and later had to break up a brawl (makes a change from starting them, eh Rakim?) and, of course, gave live renditions of approved cuts like “Goldie”, “Peso” and “Bass”, which you can catch below.

Concluding today, Sunday’s Pitchfork Music Festival schedule will see Kendrick Lamar and aarabMUZIK satisfy rap crowds, while Vampire Weekend, Beach House, UK’s own King Krule (f.k.a. Zoo Kid) and more help balance out the musical spectrum. Click here for the full line-up.
