21 year old DJ and singer-songwriter Yasmin has had all of us in the SC towers in a spell with her current video for “Finish Line“, the second single from her forthcoming debut album.
Well, she’s managed to keep us spellbound for the rest of the week by blessing us with this exclusive remix of her forthcoming single by the Freemasons.
Speaking to Yasmin earlier today she broke down how the remix came about and why she really wanted to share it with us,
“I suggested the Freemason’s when discussing remix ideas with the label and luckily for me the guys loved the song and went right ahead making an incredible floorfiller-esque remix which is floating around on the web at the moment, the guys told me they were so inspired by the track they wanted to do an alternative afterhours chilled out version which I was MORE than happy for them to do this considering the calibre of the uptempo mix.
When I finally heard this Afterhours mix I was blown away, it’s even more magical than I expected. This remix has some of the most beautiful and evoking production I’ve heard in a long time, reminds me so much of Massive Attack and Portishead, they just really nailed it. I wanted Soul Culture to unveil this remix cause you guys are the ultimate in depth music fans and I knew you’d appreciate it as much as I do!”
“Finish Line” will be released on 8th May 2011 on Ministry of Sound/Levels Recordings.
