Photo of Jay-Z in new Brooklyn Nets logo tee Photoshopped | News

April 26th, 2012 | by Max-El

A Photoshopped image of Jay-Z rocking a t-shirt bearing the new logo of the soon-to-be Brooklyn Nets has been making its rounds across the web this evening.

The image shows Jay-Z in concert at an unknown location wearing a v-neck tee with the logo slightly off-center underneath a black, drummer in the school band-looking jacket. Several blogs have shared the image as evidence of the Nets minority owner debuting the new logo a few days before Monday’s scheduled official unveil, but Fast Company reports that the picture is a “composite rendering” sent to them from an “anonymous designer” who pieced the image together from a leaked file of the logo and a stock photo of Jay performing.

Today, an anonymous designer sent us this rendering they pieced together of the new logo in printable logo form. … For the hip-hop-artist-gone-entrepreneurial-giant fans in the crowd, well, the creator included a composite rendering of the new branding being worn by none other than Nets co-owner Jay-Z himself. Consider it a conceptual preview…

According to reports, Nets team president Brett Yormark refused to comment on whether the leaked logo image is legitimate. It was tweeted on Wednesday (April 25) by a man claiming to be an employee at the Barclays Center, the Nets new home court in Brooklyn.

The official unveiling will take place Monday (April 30) at 10am EST. We know this picture is a fake, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see whether the logo really is the Nets’ new look.
