After teaming up with Lunice of TNGHT for an up-tempo banger a couple of weeks ago, Angel Haze continues her flirtation with the electronic new wave by featuring on East London quartet Rudimental’s latest track, “Hell Could Freeze”.
The new track, which just premiered on Zane Lowe’s Radio One show, is a little less ratchet and a little more soulful than her last collaborative offering. In the blink of an eye, Haze moves from all-out attack in her verses to smooth, breathy vocals a la Kilo Kish, whilst a cacophony of other voices and sounds join her. The beat itself is difficult to categorise, but has a textured, skittish quality that fits perfectly with these changes of pace.
