Having announced their return in 2012, the original line-up of beloved British girl group Sugababes returns in the form of Mutya Keisha Siobhan with a teaser of some brand new material – an acappella performance of “Boys.”

The ladies penned their new single with All SaintsShaznay Lewis, Richard ‘Biff’ Stannard and Ash Howes – the latter two who also produced the song along with emerging South London singer/producer Mnek – “Yes this does mean that the Origibabes, the man behind all the decent Spice Girls songs and the woman behind all the decent All Saints songs, and the man who did some fiddling around with Girls Aloud’s ‘Whole Lotta History’, have collaborated on this song, making it a sort of ‘best of the girlbands’ effort,” they told PopJustice.

13 years on from their 2000 debut and multiple line-up changes, the original members still seem to have that special chemistry together – Mutya’s husky voice in particular is a welcome return to these ears, but each member of the trio holds a unique tone which shines in harmony. Take a listen below and await the recorded version, then expect the single’s official release along with a new album from the girls later this year.
