I hate Christmas songs. Never quite been able to vibe with songs about sleighbells, snow and a reindeer and elf exploiting fat man in red suit. But… if all Christmas songs were made by the good folk at Atrium (NO I.D‘s Def Jam distributed imprint), then the holiday season would be blissful.
Evidence to support my ramblings comes in the form of “Wrap Me Up”, the latest track from the beautiful California hailing songstress Jhene Aiko with a feature from Cocaine 80s member and Roc Nation managed singer-songwriter James Fauntleroy on a festive soundbed provided by Tae Beast.
The seasonally themed love song is definitely an upgrade from the usual Xmas themed audio drivel, focusing on the often ignored core essence of the holiday season, getting close to the person/people that you love and love you.
Plus… I can just pretend Jhene Aiko is singing this just for me (Too creepy? oh well). Press play below.
