Directed by Oliver Whitehouse, this video definitely isn’t for the faint hearted. Combining flashing random images of broken mannequins, unusual artwork and more, “The Jungle” makes for pretty interesting viewing. No Lay (who started emceeing back in 2003 as part of the group Unorthodox) is seen standing in front of a building entrance, while appearing in charge and possessed by a fiery passion for her lyrics.
Personally, I find No Lay’s presence slightly uncomfortable and the track only picks up for me when Ghetts is introduced. It feels like the eery background vocals and theme of the video suit his hard hitting flow a little more than his female accomplice. Nevertheless, “The Jungle” is still worth a watch or two – if you can get your head around the rather disturbing images and the odd, zombie-like figures at the end.
