The full video for “Grown Folks” from Seattle-based soulstress Choklate‘s sophomore album, To Whom It May Concern (2009) has now been unveiled – featuring Malcolm-Jamal Warner, better known to many of us as Theo Huxtable from The Cosby Show. (!!) I had no idea he is also a musician. Perhaps I was the only one living under a rock, but those interested can find out more information on his jazz/funk band, Miles Long, at his website.

Back to Choklate:

For those not up on Choklate, check out her recent interview for Fiona Bloom’s “Efficacy” video series on ThisIsRealMusic.com:

This Seattle based songstress, who writes all her own music, has already taken the breath away from many listeners around the world. Choklate infuses her sultry alto voice with hard, progressive beats and very real lyrics—sparking many different kinds of emotions. “All of the music that I make is from my soul,” Choklate genuinely confirms.’To whom it may concern’ is her sophomore and most recent project. She’s working on something new as we speak. Touring/keeping buys. She’s performing on Tom Joyner’s Cruise in the Caribbean mid-May. Check out http://www.myspace.com/listen2choc for more!
