Despite being signed as an artist to Def Jam, and holding his CTE (Corporate Thugz Entertainment) imprint under the brand, Young Jeezy has reportedly landed himself an executive position at another label. According to tweets by Jeezy’s production coordinator DJ Folk, following Greg Street‘s announcement on Atlanta’s V103, the rapper has been named Senior Vice President of A&R at Atlantic Records.

While questions are sure to be asked about Jeezy’s own label situation – mainly surrounding a possible switch to Atlantic as an artist – the move sounds like good business acumen, given The Snowman’s ear for talent (see: Freddie Gibbs).
Young Jeezy has yet to comment on the news but stay tuned for more details as they become available.
