While we all wait with an agitated expectancy for Pusha T’s long awaited debut album My Name Is My Name, the G.O.O.D. Music honcho himself took to twitter today to release the project’s official artwork.
From a glance the two covers could not look more dissimilar but in reality the ongoing conversation of commercialism and racism both bring these two covers in clever cultural alignment. These are two topics deeply rooted in his mentor Kanye’s music, so much so that it is no surprise to find out ‘Ye himself along with his mythical design powerhouse DONDA were behind it.
Thierry Le Gouès was obviously a huge inspiration for DONDA and their process but what do you guys think? Which cover will you be copping on October 8th?
See the second cover below.
Sidenote: Clipse’s number one fan already had his say..
