After spending a few years away from the game to be a full-time mom, R&B veteran Brandy is preparing a triumphant return to the spotlight and unveils the cover art for her highly-anticipated sixth LP, Two Eleven.

Ms. Norwood says the album, her first since 2008′s Human, is full of gimmick-free, “real R&B music” and is totally different from her previous projects.

“It’s a little bit sexier than my previous albums — very vibed out, and it’s versatile,” she told Rap-Up. “It has so many different R&B sounds and different R&B records on there. I got a chance to work with different people more than I did in the past because in the past, it was pretty much one producer that I would work with and I didn’t really get a chance to explore a lot of different talents. I was able to do that with this album.”

Contrary to previous reports, Brandy didn’t get to work with Timbaland due to scheduling conflicts — “It sucked because Timbaland is like one of my favorite producers,” she said, regretfully — or Rodney Jerkins, but the album does feature a lot of writing from Sean Garrett and appearances from Chris Brown and Monica. Drake and Frank Ocean are also rumored to have contributed their writing talents to the project.
