Lazy Habits, the eight-member Hackney, London hailing Hip Hop group, prep for the release of their forthcoming debut album, out this November, with the official video for their new single, “Bulletin.”
Comprising of saxophonist Paul Silver, Lester Brown on trumpet, percussionist Steven Abu Nab, bassist Steven James, drummer Ross McDouall and DJ Itchi alongside MC Lazy and Skin Hors on the mic, Lazy Habits have supported Mos Def and Bonobo in recent times, receiving support from the likes of Radio 1’s Huw Stevens and BBC 6 Music’s Craig Charles after their debut EP, On The Wagon, garnered much acclaim.
Out now, their horn heavy new track “Bulletins,” which comes with dramatic visuals that are truly engaging [love the throwback morse code equipment in the opening], features rhymes from the collective’s emcee Lazy, whose flow complements the lively drums of the instrumental. Influenced by “New Orleans jazz, soul and the Big Bands of the ’50s,” the group’s merging of old school sounds expressed in an up to date fashion are subtly reflected in the accompanying visuals directed by Kash Black – watch below.
