Azealia Banks is no stranger to controversy. Already in her young career, the fiery femcee has waged wars with Iggy Azalea, T.I. and, most recently, Jim Jones, but her latest appearance in the headlines comes thanks to a risqué Dazed & Confused magazine cover. Too racy for some, it seems, as the issue has already been banned in seven countries.
Just been told our upcoming
@azealiabanks cover has been banned from 7 countries so far. Thank God for the Internet, huh?

The cover, which you can see above, pictures Ms. Banks’ blowing up a pink condom, while the pun-friendly typeface of “AZEALIA BANKS BLOWS UP” is seen below. It may seem like the sole intention behind the image choice was to attract controversy, but Azealia did contribute to the idea herself months beforehand (kind of). “Bitch I’m ’bout to blow up too/ I’m the one today, I’m the new shit, boo, young Rapunzel,” she raps on her 2011 breakout song, “212″.
Dazed & Confused isn’t the only magazine to be graced by Ms. Banks this month. The Harlem rapper is also seen on the cover of VIBE Magazine alongside DJ/producer Diplo, for the second of their annual JUICE issue.
