foreign beggars

Once again, East London venue Fabric has contrived to put together a heavyweight line-up of the finest in cutting edge hip-hop, drum and bass and dub-step. Headlining the prestigious room one are the UK’s own Foreign Beggars.

Having made the tricky sound evolution from underground boom bap hip-hop to electro/dub-step, Beggars are now reaping the rewards of their musical progression with high profile collaborations and wider recognition within the dance/EDM scene thanks to collaborations with Noisea and Alix Perez leading to them signing to DeadMau5’s own label. Their high-energy live shows have gained themselves a sizeable fan base around the world and promise to have the dance floor jumping once again.

Meanwhile, room two features the cream of the progressive drum n bass scene as the elusive yet uber talented Calibre celebrates the release of his upcoming hotly anticipated Spill album with a special headlining set. He completes a bill of drumb’n’bass all stars which includes the likes of dBridge, Marcus Intalex and Fabio, all of which add up to what promises to be a room ripe for a night of bass heavy grooves.

Last but not least is room three featuring a live set by Japanese dubstep producer Goth-Trad. Don’t let the name fool you – there’s nothing traditional or gothic about his music. Last year he released his innovative and boundary pushing New Epoch album on Deep Midi, a label ran by fellow kindred & pioneering spirit – Mala. His cerebral approach to producing in a genre that normally values brawn over brains has won him critical acclaim and a whole host of new admirers.

With a line-up this diverse and awesome, Fabric will have the good time Friday night fever in spades.
