After two successful Bridget Jones novels which went on to become even more successful and much loved movies, author Helen Fielding has another book in the series coming this year, completing a Bridget Jones trilogy.
The new novel goes by the name Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy and sees the lovable spinster not only contend with new developments in her love life and career, all while navigating her way through the new age of social media.
Speaking on the book and character development, Fielding explains that Bridget is older now and her “life has moved on. But, the question is, just how much?” The last we saw of Bridget she had finally been proposed to by Mr Darcy and we presumed lived happily ever after, but with a new book on the way it seems like Bridget won’t be taken off the singles market just yet.
The new book will be published by Random House on Oct 10th in Britain by Jonathan Cape and Oct 15th in the US by Alfred A. Knopf, and we predict Renee Zellweger will be reprising her role on the big screen in no time.[Source]
