After speculation about the Wu-Tang Clan possibly playing themselves in the forthcoming Ol’ Dirty Bastard biopic Dirty White Boy, things have taken a bit of a u-turn.

While Method Man, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon were all initially confirmed to appear in the film alongside Michael K. Williams, it seems that at least one of them has had a change of heart.

Pitchfork reports that Raekwon won’t be appearing in the film after all. A reason for The Chef’s decision has not been given. Method Man and Ghostface are reportedly still on board.

Raekwon may have turned down the film appearance, but he hasn’t stopped on the music front.

The MC released his latest mixtape, Unexpected Victory, in January, and has since appeared on other projects including N.O.R.E.‘s “‘Google That.”

Dirty White Boy is being directed by Oscar nominee Joaquín Baca-Asay, whose credits include Jay-Z‘s “99 Problems” and “Empire State Of Mind” music videos.
