Mary Mary to release Something Big LP in Spring 2011

January 24th, 2011 | by Tahirah Edwards Byfield

Gospel soulstresses Mary Mary (comprised of sisters Erica and Tina) have announced a spring release for Something Big, the  follow-up to 2008′s release The Sound.

Produced by Warryn Campbell for Myblock Records and written by Mary Mary, Something Big is set to land on March 29th 2011.

Lead by the upbeat single “Walking” (which will be accompanied by Luga Podesta-directed visuals at the end of the month), Something Big sees the ladies delivering empowering lyrics, inspiring audiences to use their faith in God to guide them through the challenges of life.

“In life, we all need to believe in our inner strength to endure the unexpected, to face challenges which confront us, and ultimately survive; we are living in difficult times, but there are infinite reasons to be hopeful,” say Erica and Tina.

The sisters, who’ve sold upwards of five million albums and are multiple award winners say, “It’s not just about musical achievements, awards, charts and sales. That’s not our guiding light.” Instead, their impetus comes from connecting with people around the world, “It’s about helping people…we’re committed to our message and purpose.”
