Until the Quiet Comes, the latest album from Flying Lotus has received heavy praise since it’s release in September of last year. Much like the album, the short film that accompanies it was acclaimed upon it’s debut and has now further continued the trend, winning the Short Film Special Jury Award at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

Directed by Khalil Joseph, the beautiful short makes use of three tracks from the album, “See Thru To U” (feat. Erykah Badu) as well as “Hunger” and “Getting There”, both of which feature Niki Randa on the vocals. Many of FlyLo’s  music videos have been visually innovative, including “Zodiac Sh*t” “Mmm Hmm”, “Kill Your Co-Workers” and “Tiny Tortures”, taken from UTQC and featuring Elijah Wood

Hopefully the success of his first short film means we’ll be seeing more in the future, and if you haven’t seen it already you can watch it below.
