A follow up to classic coming of age sitcom Boy Meets World is currently in early development, with Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel reportedly in talks to reprise their roles as Cory and Topanga.

The new series, which TVLine reports will be called Girl Meets World, will focus on Cory and Topanga’s pre-teen daughter. Michael Jacobs, executive producer of Boy Meets World, is currently casting for the series, which will be shown on the Disney Channel if it gets green-lighted.

The original series lasted for 7 seasons between 1993 and 2000, taking Cory from grade school all the way to marriage, and quickly gained the interest of viewers with a number of memorable characters. Though it’s not known if Shawn, Cory’s best friend or Eric, Cory’s older brother will make an appearance, I strongly hope William Daniels shows up as his unforgettable character Mr Feeny, as he played a strong part in what made the original series so great.
