Beverly Hills Cop TV series fails to find network home, 4th film now in development | News

Beverly hills cop tv show cancelled
With a pilot filmed and heavyweights like Eddie Murphy and Brandon T. Jackson signed up to star in the new Beverly Hills Cop TV series, it seemed like a home run for the series just a few months ago. But fast forward to now, and despite interest from four major networks the series still wasn't picked up and has effectively been pushed aside for now.

CBS seemed like the most likely to pick it after showing interest a couple of months back, but after they passed on it so did the other networks. Screenwriter and producer Shawn Ryan who worked on the pilot broke the news on Twitter saying,

However, moments later he posted some more exciting news for fans of the films as a fourth BHC movie may now be in the works due to the pilot testing so well with audiences.

It's unclear why the show wasn't picked up for a series if the pilot did indeed test well, but at least there's good news in store for fans of the film.

Doesn't André 3000 capture Jimi Hendrix almost spot on? I know, it's only ONE semi-blurry snapshot but I already know 3 Stacks won't let us down.

If you have no idea what you're looking at, this is the first still of rap legend and one-half of Outkast, André 3000, portraying another music legend, Jimi Hendrix, in a new Hendrix memoir film, All Is By My Side, premiering at this year's Toronto International Film Festival. In short, the biopic, filmed in Ireland, focuses on the early days of Hendrix's career. In a more detailed official synopsis:

Jimmy James, an unknown backup guitarist, left New York City for London, England in 1966. A year later he returned — as Jimi Hendrix. All Is By My Side brings authenticity and poignancy to the story of the man behind the legend, and of the people who loved and inspired him. Starring Imogen Poots, Hayley Atwell, André Benjamin, Ruth Negga and Adrian Lester.

A trailer for the film should be coming out soon. As for a release date, let's hope it will be some day in 2013.

Superman/Batman movie announced; set to be released Summer 2015 [Video] | Geek Alert

After Batman's The Dark Knight trilogy and the Superman reboot Man Of Steel, this is the moment every DC Comics geek/fanboy(or girl) has waited for all of their lives. Superman and Batman are set to appear in the same live action, big screen blockbuster movie!
The announcement was made last night, at the end of the Warner Bros. panel during the 2013 San Diego Comic Con, by director Zack Snyder (Man Of Steel). The director took to the podium and to share the news with a room full of already excited fans...
“It’s official that we are gonna make another Superman movie… The truth is you don’t want me to tell you what the movie’s about, but I can say that maybe there’s a single element that will be in the film that I could help you out with.”

Raising the suspense levels, Snyder brought on actor Harry Lennix (because he has a cooler voice) to read something that would help break the news in the most worthy fashion, making sure to state “We’re not adapting this thing, but it is the thing that will help tell this story.” Then Lennix read the following text taken from the Frank Miller created series The Dark Knight Returns...
“I want you to remember, Clark, in all the years to come, in all your most private moments. I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you.”

With a chill in the air, the lights were shut off before the Superman logo was projected on the screen, then, the Bat sign appeared behind it. It was official, the Super/Batman: World's Finest movie is on the way.

Henry Cavill will be returning to the role as Superman/Clark Kent, but no word on who will be donning Batman's Cowl or Bruce Wayne's Tom Ford suit. Whilst it's doubtful that Christian Bale will return to the role, will the storyline from the Dark Knight Rises continue and will Joseph Gordon-Levitt take on the role? So many questions. Take a look at the press release below and stay locked for updates.
