James Caan – Get The Job You Really Want | Book Review

In the throes of a recession, thousands of people have found themselves without employment; either falling victim to redundancy and other job-loss circumstances yielded by the economic downturn, or freshly graduating from school, college or university into a stark and hostile job market which sees employers able to force potential applicants through flaming hoops just for a shot at an entry-level position. Getting a job has never been more difficult - and getting one that you actually like is a whole new ball game.

Enter James Caan, who became a familiar face after becoming a ‘dragon’ in BBC’s popular Dragon’s Den - a programme which offers novice entrepreneurs the chance to pitch to a panel of steely-faced business investors. With an extensive history in recruitment, Caan boasts of being a maverick in the business of getting jobs, stepping away from the traditional recruitment norms to yield results.

Aiming to inform on how a job market drier than unbuttered toast can actually be an advantage for potential job-seekers, Caan's Get The Job You Really Want offers a step-by-step guide to finding a job, from spotting the opening to clenching the interview, using antidotes and examples from his own experiences. Tinie Tempah live at Hammersmith Apollo | Gig Review

On Friday 25th February, Tinie Tempah performed to a sold out London crowd at Hammersmith Apollo in his biggest headlined concert to date. Disturbing London - the name of Tinie’s label imprint - served as an apt description for the packed show which saw 5000 teenagers, a sprinkling of industry heads, and his parents all in attendance.

The show opened with a VT (multimedia visual) on a huge screen above the stage as the band played Tinie in. A consistent feature throughout the show, the VTs shown on the onstage screen were instrumental in enhancing the sensory experience of the night, with many videos shot or visuals built specifically for the tour. The young popstar emerged onstage performing his debut album Disc-Overy’s intro cut. Following with “Simply Unstoppable”, Tinie bounced around the stage energetically. As pyrotechnics fired up behind them, Ellie Goulding joined Tinie and the band onstage to perform his latest single, “Wonderman”. Read more

Lloyd - "Miss That P*ssy" | New Music

Looks like Lloyd's cat has gone missing Lloyd was on the mission to croon the word "p*ssy" as many times as humanly possible on this latest record.

Even peppered with p*ssies, the cut is produced by Kanye West and offers up heavy doo-wop influences with female harmonies, hand-snaps and retro instrumentation.

Apparently, "Miss That P*ssy" is set to appear on Lloyd's forthcoming LP, King Of Hearts, and is due to feature Andre 3000, and perhaps, a full verse from Lil Wayne. Watch this space for the finished, high quality version, but for now take a listen to the (lightly tagged) version below:

Madea’s Big Happy Family starring Tyler Perry, Bow Wow & Teyana Taylor | Trailer

Tyler Perry is back donning his infamous dress and wig for another Madea movie.

Madea's Big Happy Family stars Bow Wow, Teyana Taylor, Loretta Devine and Lauren London. Check out the synopsis & trailer below:

Madea, everyone's favorite wise-cracking, take-no-prisoners grandma, jumps into action when her niece, Shirley, receives distressing news about her health. All Shirley wants is to gather her three adult children around her and share the news as a family. But Tammy, Kimberly and Byron are too distracted by their own problems: Tammy can't manage her unruly children or her broken marriage; Kimberly is gripped with anger and takes it out on her husband; and Byron, after spending two years in jail, is under pressure to deal drugs again.

It's up to Madea, with the help of the equally rambunctious Aunt Bam, to gather the clan together and make things right the only way she knows how: with a lot of tough love, laughter... and the revelation of a long-buried family secret.

Madea's Big Happy Family hits US cinemas on April 22nd.

Jennifer Hudson spends time in South African jail for 'Winnie' film

Jennifer Hudson's latest film role as Winnie Mandela in upcoming biopic, Winnie has seen the young entertainer challenge herself in ways untold - with her completing 5 days in solitary confinement in a South African jail.

Jennifer spoke to Newsweek about the experience:

She wanted, she says, to “experience some of the hell that woman went through.” By the third day, hell had arrived. Her hair was tangled, her eyes sunken, and she started having imaginary conversations with her son.

Reflecting on the experience still brings Hudson to a dark place. “They snatched her out of her home and she had no idea what happened to her children,” Hudson says of Mandela. “Imagine living that? This was her life! This was real. As a woman, I am angry for her, hurting for her. And as a mom? God, being in solitary confinement, away from my son just for five days when shooting those scenes—it was too much for me. I was drained and stripped down. I was changed.”

The film also stars Terrance Howard and it is expected to hit American cinemas in September.

In related news, Jennifer's new video "Where You At" landed today and her sophomore album I Remember Me is due for release on March 22nd.
