GMA interviewer Robin Roberts speaks on Chris Brown interview [Video]

Good Morning America interviewer Robin Roberts now speaks on her recent interview with Chris Brown, currently a heated talking point following the R&B star's reported post-interview rage resulting in a smashed window at ABC studios.

Roberts earlier suggested Brown had agreed to talk about his past on "Good Morning America" Tuesday and was aware that questions would be asked about Rihanna.

"Any time we have a guest here on the program, we let them know ahead of time the subject matter, the topics that we're going to discuss and we, even right before the interview, I said that to Chris and I was shocked like everybody else was," Roberts said today on "GMA." --ABC

Wyclef Jean shot in Haiti on eve of presidential elections; "God is good. I'm workin on campaign with one hand."

Politically-minded musician Wyclef Jean has been shot in the hand on the eve of the presidential elections, in Haiti.

Wyclefs own bid for presidency ended last year after being disqualified for not meeting the necessary criteria, but was in Haiti on Saturday (March 19) to raise support for presidential candidate and musician Michael Martelly.

He was reportedly rushed to a nearby hospital to treat the gunshot wound and was later released.

"The way I can explain it is that the bullet grazed me in my right hand," Jean told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. "I heard blow, blow, blow and I just looked at my hand."

Jean, who was with a driver and the Haitian hip-hop singer FanFan at the time, said he doesn't know who fired the shots, or whether they were directed at him.

He said he got out of the car to have a private conversation that FanFan would not overhear. He heard the shots and looked down to see blood on his shirt and sneakers.

The Haitian-American performer said he was treated at a local hospital and released. Jean said he was taking antibiotics and recovering at an "undisclosed location" before going out to vote in Sunday's presidential election. --Huffington Post

Rihanna tells Vogue: "When it feels good to you nothing else matters"

Rihanna covers Vogue for their 10th annual Shape edition and speaks on the woman she's become since dealing with her well publicised break up with Chris Brown, opening up about various topics that changed her from pop princess to the edgy artist she's become, touching on the strained relationship with her father, moving on from Matt Kemp, being content with her body and being a role model.

"It made me look at the world in a much bigger way because my life was suddenly superduper magnified; all eyes were on me. I needed that in my life to know how to say, ‘F—k off.’ To know how to keep my head high even in the worst situations.

"I keep using the word unapologetic. But there is a freedom that has come with all of that. Where you feel like you don’t have to make an excuse for being yourself.”

Considering all that she's been through, this has to be one of the realest quotes I've read from Rihanna;

"When something feels real, you don't have to make any apologies for it. When it feels good to you nothing else matters. Everything else is just noise."

The rest of the interview will be available in Vogue in April.

LA Reid steps down from Island Def Jam to join US X Factor judging panel, reports say | Music News

LA Reid is stepping down as chairman of Island Def Jam to become a judge on the American X Factor, as reported by Billboard.

There's been much talk about who will join Simon Cowell on the judging panel, from former American Idol judge Paula Abdul, mum to be Mariah Carey and Nicole Scherzinger, but according to reports Reid is the only judge who has been locked down and the official statement will drop later in the week.

Auditions for American X Factor begin on March 27. Just like the UK version of X Factor, the contestants will be mentored and at the end of the contest the winner will receive a $5 million contract with Sony Music.

"Island Def Jam will continue to be run by Steve Bartels. Barry Weiss, the former Sony Music executive joining Universal Music Group this month, is expected to add oversight of Island Def Jam to his duties," reports Billboard. "The question remains, however, whether Reid will eventually join his former Universal boss Doug Morris, who becomes CEO of Sony Music on July 1."
