'Before Watchmen: Moloch' DC prequel mini-series coming in November | Geek Alert

A prequel to the classic 1986 12-issue Watchmen limited series by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, the release of DC's Before Watchmen has been a contentious affair, with many die-hard fans of the original 12-issue comic-book highly critical of the iconic publisher's decision to go ahead with the project; especially without the blessings and contributions of Moore.

Though Gibbons released a statement declaring his "appreciation" for DC's new series, the artist's conspicuous absence from the creative process of the 12-issue has confounded a whole cross-section of Watchmen lovers.

In spite of this, particularly with the surprising success of several Before Watchmen series, including Silk Spectre, Ozymandias, and Minutemen, DC is reportedly expanding the complex and colourful world of its beloved heroes. Read more

'Sons of Anarchy' Season 5 previews released [Video]

Sons of Anarchy is one of the most ridiculously awesome shows you could watch. Teeming with action, drama, bags of funny and its fair share of unbridled weirdness and gratuitous sex, SOA is a strangely wonderful gangster drama with brains and brawn.

From the first scenes of its first-ever episode, the show proved itself to be a notch above almost all other series, puffing out its chest and flexing its muscles to roll with the Emmy-winning big boys. Boasting an impressive cult following, SOA is yet to truly rival the likes of Mad Men and Breaking Bad in terms of accolades, but that shouldn't detract from its quality.

Created by Kurt Sutter, the evil genius behind the hulking mass of goodness that was The Shield, Sons of Anarchy tells the a very Shakespearean tale of morals and vengeance, following the gun-running antics of a fearsome gang of bikers in a poorly-named town of Charming. The show ties together a number of themes, combining Oedipal complexes, race feuds, terrorism, corruption and Knights of the Round Table loyalty to create an orginal, enthralling and entertaining series.

The show stars the UK's very own Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman (Hellboy himself), Mark Boone Junior, Maggie Siff and Katey Sagal.

With Season 5 drawing closer, FX has generously released three new previews and some behind-the-scenes footage for viewers to pore over. Watch it all below.
