Jay-Z talks growing up, music, politics + more | Music News

Considering Zadie Smith's younger brother is London-born former rapper Doc Brown, you would expect her to have a passable knowledge of all things Hip-Hop. However, reading her recent piece for the New York Times, it isn't hard to imagine Smith reciting the words, "I'm a pimp by blood not relation" as often as possible, eagerly emphasising that she is very much her own woman.

The award-winning author of White Teeth does just that in a wonderfully articulate write-up about a revealing interview with Jay-Z, forcing you to sit up and take notice by effortlessly quoting lines straight from that Jiggaman and Big L freestyle session and referencing the Marcy don's rapid-fire flow on the classic cut "I Can't Get With That" -- it makes you recognise that Smith is a Hip-Hop head in her own right, Doc Brown or no Doc Brown. James Cameron reveals idea for fourth 'Avatar' movie | Film News

James Cameron has outlined plans for his "Avatar business." Having broken all manner of records with several of his projects, Cameron returned to his history-making ways with 2009's Avatar -- a film that went on to earn six Academy Award nominations (winning three) and smashed the box office to become one of the highest-grossing movies of all time.

Looking to build on the popularity of the stunning Na'vi epic, Cameron has been hard at work on sequels to the big-banking movie. Avatar 2 and are reportedly going to be shot back-to-back, with copious amounts of cash poured into the films.

Taking time out to address rumours of further Avatar sequels, Cameron recently spoke about his plans for a fourth film.

"I have an idea for a fourth. I haven't really put pen to paper on it, but basically it goes back to the early expeditions of Pandora, and kind of what went wrong with the humans and the Na'vi and what that was like to be an explorer and living in that world," he revealed. "Because when we drop in, even in the first film in 'Avatar 1,' as it will be known in the future, we're dropping into a process that's 35 years in to a whole colonization.

"[Avatar 3] will complete an arc and if that leads into more, we'll start, not imitating 'Star Wars,' but it's a logical thing to do because we'll have completed the thematic arc by the end of three. The only thing left to do is go back to see what it was like on those first expeditions and create some new characters that then become legacy characters in later films. It's a plan."

Avatar 2 is scheduled for release in 2015.
