Ever the business man Jay Z doesn’t back down when it comes to making money – now Mr Carter has launched Roc Nation Sports with the talent agency Creative Artist Agency, the first signee stepping up to the bat being Yankees player Robinson Cano.

“Jay Z and his team at Roc Nation have successfully orchestrated powerful brand and business-building opportunities for their clients,” said Michael Levine, Co-Head of CAA Sports. “We look forward to combining our wide-reaching resources on behalf of top athlete clients like Robinson Cano to help them accomplish their goals on and off the field.”

Roc Nation Sports will be co-headed by Jay-Z and Roc Nation president Juan Perez, reports Billboard.

As we know Jay Z has always had a vivid interest in sports and already has a small part in the Brooklyn Nets basketball team. Jigga may even be becoming a sport agent himself according to reports, representing clients in baseball, football and basketball.

“Because of my love of sports, it was a natural progression to form a company where we can help top athletes in various sports,” Jay Z commented on venture on his Life+Times blog,” the same way we have been helping artists in the music industry for years.”
