On the eve of the U.S. release of his highly-anticipated tenth album Life Is Good, Nasty Nas did his 1-2 thing before a national audience on the Late Show with David Letterman.

Decked in a cool-ass summertime get-up with white pants and light jewelry, Nasir and his full rhythm section kicked a flawless rendition of the single, but it’s unclear how the crowd reacted since the cameras never leave the stage. They always do that, and I assume it’s because the audience is too lame to really be into any of the music — you know, clapping and dancing and shit. Letterman’s probably got an audience full of toe-tappers. Can’t see toe-tapping on TV.

But like I said, the performance was dope. Don’t let the stoic audience fool ya.
