A few days ago, AMC‘s much talked about series Hell On Wheels returned for it’s second episode after its well received debut attracted close to 4.4 million U.S viewers. With numerous story lines and characters set up in the Gayton Brothers-created drama’s premier, the second episode, titled “Immortal Mathematics”, picks up nicely where the last left off.

Answering to Union Pacific’s head security man “The Swede” (Christopher Heyerdahl), Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount) finds himself literally fighting for his life has he is under the suspicion for the murder of Union Pacific Railroad employer Daniel Johnson. After her “Advanced Rail Road Service” crew, including her boyfriend, were killed in Nebraska by Native Americans, who fight against those who impede on their sacred land, Lily Bell (Dominique McElligott) runs for her life but finds herself lost in the wilderness, having to fend for herself as a group of the Native Americans set out to track her down. Union Pacific Railroad boss Thomas Durant (Colm Meaney) sees the massacre of the Advanced Rail Road Service as an opportunity to for political and commercial gain.

Disclaimer… Do not watch this if you have a nervous disposition towards violence, blood, creepy Swedish men, talk and history of African slave trade, Native American’s fight against those that look to impede on their land and acts of greedy entrepreneurial endeavors.

Check back with us on Tuesday for the third episode of this highly intriguing drama…
