X-Men fans young and old rejoice, as today we get the first official trailer for the Bryan Singer directed blockbuster movie X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Loosely based on the 1980 storyline that ran in The Uncanny X-Men issues #141 and #142, the movie which acts as a sequel to both 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand and 2011’s X-Men: First Class, sees Wolverine (played by Hugh Jackman) having his consciousness sent back in time by the present day Professor X (played by Patrick Stewart) and Magneto (Ian McKellen) in order to help the 1973 version of Professor X (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) stop the rise of the Sentinels and the the extermination of the mutant race.
