Riding shotgun with a drug dealer on the way to rehab isn’t the best idea.

That’s just what happens in Why Stop Now, a film starring The Social Network‘s Jesse Eisenberg; the incredible, Oscar-winning Melissa Leo; the bumbling brilliance of Tracy Morgan; and Isiah Whitlock Jr., the veteran actor of The Wire fame who boasts the privilege of being synonymous with one of the most recited catchphrases in recent TV history (“Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit!“).

Directed by Phil Dorling and Ron Nyswaner (who also penned the film’s script), Why Stop Now is a rip-roaring comedy of errors surrounding a ragtag group of misfits as they trudge through the events of an incredibly strange day.

The film follows young Eli Smith (portrayed by Eisenberg), a piano prodigy who attempts to enroll his difficult mother (Leo) in rehab on the very same day of his all-important audition for a prestigious music program. Enlisting the services of Sprinkles — a hapless drug dealer played by Morgan — Smith attempts to solve all his problems, only to watch on as the day devolves into one big comedic mess.

Funny and heartfelt, Why Stop Now looks to be a film to watch out for. With its impressive cast of heavyweights, it may just land a few knockout blows at the box office.
