After Batman‘s The Dark Knight trilogy and the Superman reboot Man Of Steel, this is the moment every DC Comics geek/fanboy(or girl) has waited for all of their lives. Superman and Batman are set to appear in the same live action, big screen blockbuster movie!
The announcement was made last night, at the end of the Warner Bros. panel during the 2013 San Diego Comic Con, by director Zack Snyder (Man Of Steel). The director took to the podium and to share the news with a room full of already excited fans…
“It’s official that we are gonna make another Superman movie… The truth is you don’t want me to tell you what the movie’s about, but I can say that maybe there’s a single element that will be in the film that I could help you out with.”

Raising the suspense levels, Snyder brought on actor Harry Lennix (because he has a cooler voice) to read something that would help break the news in the most worthy fashion, making sure to state “We’re not adapting this thing, but it is the thing that will help tell this story.” Then Lennix read the following text taken from the Frank Miller created series The Dark Knight Returns
“I want you to remember, Clark, in all the years to come, in all your most private moments. I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you.”

With a chill in the air, the lights were shut off before the Superman logo was projected on the screen, then, the Bat sign appeared behind it. It was official, the Super/Batman: World’s Finest movie is on the way.

Henry Cavill will be returning to the role as Superman/Clark Kent, but no word on who will be donning Batman’s Cowl or Bruce Wayne’s Tom Ford suit. Whilst it’s doubtful that Christian Bale will return to the role, will the storyline from the Dark Knight Rises continue and will Joseph Gordon-Levitt take on the role? So many questions. Take a look at the press release below and stay locked for updates.
