T.I. recently made his small-screen debut with his reality show T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle, now the Grand Hustle head honcho has landed himself a season-long guest arc on Boss, a drama airing on the Starz network, Deadline reports.

The self-proclaimed “King of the South” will play “Trey,” a former gangbanger with political aspirations. Trey is the conduit between a local alderman and the city’s street gangs, who the alderman sees as the only groups able to provide grassroots support in the projects.

Boss stars Kelsey Grammer (of Cheers and Frasier fame) as Tom Cane, the merciless mayor of Chicago who has been diagnosed with a degenerative neurological disorder. Determined to keep a firm grip on his power, Cane hides his failing health from his family, his staff and his constituents. In a rare move in the television world, Starz approved a second season of the show before the first season even began, showing a huge level of confidence in the series.

It was recently announced that Sanaa Lathan would also be joining the Boss cast in season two. She will play Mona, Tom Cane’s Chief of Staff and love interest.

Season two premieres later this year.
